I’m all for automation and centralisation – it makes many things a LOT simpler and easier to manage (it usually includes less paperwork too!), so I was very pleased to see this overview of how it might be possible to boot an ESXi image via PXE – it’s certainly not mainstream at the moment, but might become more realistic in the future – definitely worth a read
